Refund & Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans may change due to unforeseen circumstances, and therefore we have established a transparent Refund and Cancellation Policy to ensure clarity for all our customers.

By booking a taxi, tempo traveller, Urbania, or any transportation service through our website, mobile platform, or customer support team, you agree to the terms and conditions mentioned below.


1. Booking Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation

Customers can cancel their booking within 15 minutes of confirmation without any cancellation charges. A full refund will be processed for prepaid bookings.

Cancellation Before Journey Date

For cancellations made after the free cancellation period but at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, a cancellation charge of 10% of the total booking amount will be deducted.

Cancellation Within 24 Hours of Pickup

If the booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, 25% of the total booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Same-Day Cancellation

For cancellations made on the day of travel or after the vehicle has been dispatched, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged.

Cancellation After Trip Commencement

Once the trip has started, no refund or cancellation request will be accepted. The full booking amount will be considered utilized.


2. Refund Policy

Eligible Refunds

Refunds may be granted under the following circumstances:

  • Cancellation within the applicable refund period.
  • Duplicate payment made due to technical issues.
  • Vehicle unavailable from our side and no alternative arrangement provided.
  • Booking cancelled by India Taxi Online due to operational reasons.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be applicable in the following cases:

  • No-show by the customer.
  • Incorrect pickup details provided by the customer.
  • Cancellation after trip commencement.
  • Delays caused by weather conditions, traffic congestion, road closures, strikes, government restrictions, or force majeure events.

3. Refund Processing

Once a refund request is approved:

  • UPI Refunds: Usually processed within 1–3 business days.
  • Debit/Credit Card Refunds: Typically processed within 5–7 business days.
  • Net Banking Refunds: Usually processed within 3–7 business days.
  • Bank Transfer Refunds: Processed within 3–5 business days after receiving correct bank details.

Actual credit timelines may vary depending on the customer’s bank or payment service provider.


4. Vehicle Breakdown & Service Issues

In the unlikely event of a vehicle breakdown during the journey, India Taxi Online will make every reasonable effort to arrange a replacement vehicle at the earliest possible time.

If we are unable to provide an alternative vehicle, a proportional refund may be offered based on the unused portion of the journey.


5. Special Circumstances

We understand that emergencies can arise unexpectedly. Requests involving:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Natural disasters
  • Government travel restrictions
  • Other genuine unforeseen situations

may be reviewed individually by our support team. Any refund or adjustment will be made solely at the discretion of India Taxi Online management.


6. Modification of Booking

Customers may request changes to travel dates, pickup locations, vehicle categories, or itinerary details subject to vehicle availability and operational feasibility.

Additional charges may apply if the revised booking results in increased travel distance, duration, tolls, taxes, parking charges, or vehicle upgrades.
